About Us

Our Approach & Values

If you are looking for more holistic ways of managing your anxiety, stress or other issues, Outside of the Box Counseling services has what you may be seeking. We have qualified therapists to assist with a variety of mood disorders, and are expanding ancillary services to include massage therapy and acupuncture. We recognize that in the current world of wanting everything to fit in a certain box, you may not want to do that. Our goal is to help you and your family work on developing and cultivating long term success managing the entirety of what’s happening, not just pushing through to medications and cookie cutter skills.

The therapists at Outside of the Box Counseling Services are uniquely connected to the First Responder community, and have experience working with law enforcement, firefighters, EMT’s and their families. We recognize that at times, the strategies to get through the shift are more taxing than most people realize and want to help you navigate them successfully

Using a wide variety of resources and skills, we want to help you and your family navigate difficult situations. Exploring services that may have been out of reach before in a way that is safe and comfortable, it is our pleasure to serve you and help you meet your goals.

Knowing the realities of why counseling support has been difficult for first responders, I work hard to have an approach that you’ll be able to connect with. My goal is never to push an agenda, but rather to guide you out of the stressors of your job. I won’t suggest anything I wouldn’t suggest to a family member- which matters as I have a daughter who is an EMT and a husband who is a deputy sheriff. Whether you’re struggling with work pressure, relationship strain or feel like you’re not sure where to start, let’s get through it so you can get back to good.
